What's a 101 Small Business Opportunity Resource? It's the key to finding the amazing hidden gems in your current small business? I know you are saying "What?! There are no gems in my business just a whole lot of work to do!". But you are wrong!
With changing trends, more and more business opportunities are coming up for those already operating a small business. When you are already in business you have done the hard work. The first couple of years in small business and all the setup expenses are where the real hard work is. Once you have that business running it doesn't take much to adjust your course and/or add a new product or service to offer "fries with that"!
It is the easiest way to grow a small business!
There are thousands of small business opportunities out there and you need to just find the one that is right for you and your business!
The key to finding your 101 Small Business Opportunity is to find your passion. The more passionate you are about a new product or service the easier it will be to integrate into your current business. Think about it ... what is it that got you into business in the first place? There would have been something driving you to get through that really difficult time to just get up and do it! You need to find that again.
This video is a quick overview of passion and how it affects your motivation to do something
Growing your business is hard. It is hard to change the direction of where you are going (admittedly it is NOT as hard as starting a brand new business ... RIGHT?!!?) so you are going to have to find the path of least resistance and finding your passion is going to help you do that.
Passion
is the thing that drives you and will help you make the change that it
necessary to grow you business. Therefore, it makes sense that you make it as simple as possible for yourself to implement.
What is it your current customers are crying out for? When you are in business you hear all the time what the customers need and want but when you are so busy it is really hard to do anything with that feedback.
You need to develop your business to a point where you are able to be able to offer that product or service to people and that does take a bit of work.
Before you add a new opportunity to your current business you need to work out whether it is going to be worth the effort - believe me there will be effort!
You need to analyse whether the long term return will be worth the short term work and effort (an probably money too!) that you will need to put into the business. There is definitely a financial benefit to growing your business and adding new products or services to an existing base but I have been there thinking "is it really what I want to do??"
What is it that you want?? Only you can determine this as you are the one that is going to need to put in the work.
When you first start thinking about your passion and what new products or services could benefit your smallbiz customers it can be daunting ... but you know your customers ... you have heard what they have asked for ... you just need to work out whether what they want is something that you want to provide to them and others like them.
